About Us
Complete Digital Forensics Solutions, Inc. (CDFS) was founded in 2020
by Jason Latham and Kyp Stavrou.
We are scientists.
One of the fundamental principles at CDFS is we are advocates for the data. That is, we are here to objectively evaluate the data to answer specific questions based on what the data will support. We are not here to support any given legal theory nor to take a side in any matter. We are not a “hired gun”. At our core, we are scientists and take a data driven scientific approach to all of our examinations.
We are trustworthy.
All of our examiners are certified in at least one forensic discipline. They also have held the highest levels of clearances for the DOD and DOJ.
We know how to protect and handle sensitive material and data.
We are researchers.
We are not only forensic experts in our fields, but we also actively conduct original research to improve forensic sciences. We are constantly testing and improving our tools and techniques. We incorporate cutting edge technologies into our forensics exams. This requires that we test these technologies/methods before we use them in casework.
We are educators.
One of our main jobs when we testify in a deposition or in court is to educate the judge, jury and all parties about digital and multimedia evidence (DME) forensics. This is critical for the trier of fact to apply the proper weight to our results and conclusions. We have also developed and taught many classes on various forensic topics. We not only do forensics, but we also teach it.
